Which test type you choose is dependent on your age and/or motorcycle size. All tests are identical and require you to produce a valid CBT Certificate, your UK Driving Licence and a valid motorcycle Theory Test pass certificate before the practical off road manoeuvres and on road assessments are conducted.
A2 Standard Test course is for 17-20 year olds (or older if you choose), once you have passed the Manoeuvre Test (mod 1) and the Road Test (mod 2) you may ride a m/c not exceeding 33 BHP for a two year period, after which there is no power limitation. (After 2013 an upgrade test will need to be taken).
Direct Access Supervised (DAS) course is for anyone over 21 years old (being raised to 24 years of age in Jan 2013), once you have passed the Manoeuvre Test (mod 1) and the Road Test (mod 2) you may ride any size/power motorcycle.

Before booking your CBT or Theory Test, you need to have a UK/EC Driving Licence (Card & UK Counter Part). Completing a CBT will enable you to ride up to 125cc on the road with ’L’ plates. To progress further you will need to take a Motorcycle Theory Test. If you intend to take your practical bike test soon then y can take the Motorcycle Theory Test before CBT.
